The performance issue that Windows 10 users have been suffering from recently is being solved with an upcoming patch.

An update that Microsoft rolled out in April had led to low FPS problems and game hangouts in many people. If you’ve noticed some performance issues, you’re in the right place.

In fact, this issue was resolved with the KB5004327 Tuesday update, which was offered for download this month. But some Windows 10 users reported continuing to experience the same performance issues even after making this patch.

Fortunately, Microsoft announced that it had found the root cause of the problem. The Redmond giant has not gone into much detail about this problem. But the release notes of an upcoming Windows 10 21H2 feature update show that a permanent solution has been provided. Even the explanation is as follows:

“We fixed an issue that prevented power plans and Game Mode from working as expected. This resulted in lower frame rates and poor performance when playing games.

Workarounds

On the other hand, if you’re having problems with games, there are some workarounds you can try. The first is to set the power plan to ‘high performance in Windows 10. The other is to turn off the ‘game mode’, which is the operating system’s own feature.
