Huawei Announces Luxeed, Its New Electric Car

Huawei has announced its new electric sedan “Luxeed“. The car, which is claimed to be developed together with Chery, will have HarmonyOS 4 and will be introduced in a few months.

The Chinese technology giant Huawei, which we are mostly known for its products such as smartphones, is also making moves in automobiles. Today, a statement from Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei’s smart car department, reveals that the company will soon come up with a vehicle that can be highly appreciated.

Chengdong officially announced the new electric sedan called “Luxeed” in the past hours. Although not many details about the car were shared, there are a few important pieces of information.

This is the design of the car that will come with HarmonyOS 4

According to Huawei’s statement, Luxeed will bring the Coupe experience to a different level. When we examine the design, we can say that the Luxeed looks quite stylish. The symmetrical front, the Luxeed logo above the front light strip, and the hidden door handles are some of the parts that catch the eye.

The most striking thing about the car is that it will come with Huawei’s new operating system HarmonyOS 4. HarmonyOS 4, which was introduced recently, had many new features. This means that the car will have these features and will be compatible with Huawei smartphones and smartwatches. With Harmony OS 4, we could see things like multi-screen operation, more apps, and console-level gaming on the big screen in the cockpit. The Luceed will also feature the Huawei ADS 2.0 intelligent driving system.

It has not been revealed who will produce the electric sedan. However, estimates suggest that the manufacturer will be Chery. Some claims say the Luxeed will be built on the E0X architecture used in the Chery Exeed ES and ET models. This supports the rumors that the two companies will jointly build the new vehicle.

This is all we know about Luxeed, which is said to bring a new category for smart vehicles. Huawei says the car will be introduced in the third quarter of this year, that is, in the next few months. We will learn more about the new electric vehicle when the official unveiling takes place.
