Lotus Unveils Ultra-Luxury, 900 Horsepower Electric Supercar: Emeya

Lotus introduced its new electric car Emeya. The Lotus Emeya, which appears as a hypercar, seems to succeed in attracting attention with its features and design.

British automaker Lotus introduced its new car “Emeya” at a launch in New York. The all-electric car was produced as a rival to electric cars such as Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan Turbo. The four-door sedan seems to be able to enchant consumers with its design and technical features. Let’s take a closer look at the Lotus Emaya.

Lotus’ new electric sedan is a car that emphasizes aerodynamics. However, this does not mean that the vehicle does not care about visual aesthetics. The car has a very handsome appearance, and the thin headlights, partially open grille, cameras used as side mirrors and door handles embedded in the body are among the remarkable design details of the vehicle.

The sporty design of the Lotus Emeya also shows itself at the rear. In this context; The 11-inch spoiler at the rear is actively used to improve the handling of the vehicle. The Lotus Emeya’s rear lighting is LED strip and looks quite stylish.

Lotus’ electric car has an impressive cabin. The driver will use a narrow digital display behind the steering wheel as a dashboard. The center infotainment screen will also provide information about the vehicle. The car features a 3D surround sound system by KEF and a special acoustic sound technology to isolate the outside environment. In particular, the noise from the tires and suspension is virtually zero in the interior thanks to the sensors used.

Emeya, which Lotus calls “our first hyper-GT car”, has an electric motor producing 905 horsepower and 984 Nm of torque. This motor, which sends power to all four wheels, completes 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.8 seconds. The maximum speed of the vehicle is limited to 255 km/h. With 350 kW fast charging support, the car will offer a range of 150 kilometers with a 5-minute charge. Let’s say that the charging time from 10 percent to 80 percent is 18 minutes. The company did not give an official figure for the range, but according to industry sources, Lotus Emeya will be able to travel around 600 kilometers.

No price announcement was made for the Lotus Emeya. However, the vehicle is expected to start mass production next year and be launched in 2025. Lotus said it will make brand new announcements for the Emeya towards the end of the year.
