NVIDIA aims to increase the gaming experience with DLSS 2.3!

Nvidia has released an update for its new Game Ready Driver today that makes some improvements to its scaling technologies. Updates include an upgrade to the new DLSS version 2.3, which is already supported in more than 15 games (including patches for Cyberpunk 2077, Doom Eternal, and others), as well as the NVIDIA Image Scaling algorithm, which works with all games. NVIDIA has also released a new tool called ICAT, which provides everyone with an easy way to perform image quality analysis and compare results.

DLSS continues to learn and improve

NVIDIA DLSS now offers the highest level of image quality and performance in more than 130 games and applications. It continues to get even better with the recently released DLSS 2.3 SDK. Games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Doom Eternal have been updated to the latest version 2.3, which reduces ghosting and improves temporal stability and detail.

Baldur’s Gate 3

Bright Memory: Infinite

Cyberpunk 2077 (DLSS 2.3 support is being added on November 16th)

Crysis 2 Remastered / Crysis 3 Remastered

Death loop DOOM Eternal

Farming Simulator 22 (coming out on November 22 with DLSS 2.3 support)

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Grand Theft Auto 3 Definitive Edition Grand Theft Auto Vice City Definitive Edition Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Definitive Edition

Jurassic World Evolution 2

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

Rise of the Tomb Raider / Shadow of the Tomb Raider Sword & Fairy 7

DLSS stands out as an artificial intelligence-based temporal super-resolution technology that is unique in increasing frame rates while maintaining image quality comparable to native resolution.

Spatial upgrade for all games

NVIDIA has been offering a driver-based spatial (spatial) amplifier called NVIDIA Image Scaling on the NVIDIA Control Panel for more than two years, which provides sharpening and upgrading for all games without the need for game developer integration. NVIDIA is introducing updates to its scaling and sharpening algorithm with its new November Game Ready Driver and is also making it more accessible through GeForce Experience.

The new algorithm uses a 6-stage filter with 4-way scaling and adaptive sharpening filters to improve performance. The image sharpens and scales in one pass. This feature is available from both the NVIDIA Control Panel and the GeForce Experience and includes a per-game sharpening setting that can be set from the GeForce Experience’s in-game interface.

NVIDIA is also releasing the NVIDIA Image Scaling algorithm as an open-source SDK that provides best-in-class spatial scaling and sharpening and runs on all GPUs on all platforms. The SDK is publicly available on GitHub for all developers to integrate into their games.

DLSS Is Coming to 10 New Games on November

The adoption of NVIDIA DLSS is growing rapidly, accelerating thanks to easy-to-use Unreal Engine plug-ins and native support in Unity. In November, the DLSS feature is coming to ten new games, including:

DLSS will be added to Assetto Corsa Competizione very soon and will increase performance up to 2 times.

DLSS is being added to AWAY: The Survival on November 17th. DLSS increases performance up to 2 times.

Battlefield 2042 came out with DLSS, ray tracing, and NVIDIA Reflex. DLSS increases performance up to 2 times.

Bright Memory: Infinite came out with DLSS, ray tracing, and NVIDIA Reflex. DLSS increases performance up to 2.5 times.

Elder Scrolls is out online with DLSS and DLAA. DLSS improves performance by up to 50%.

Farming Simulator 22 is released on November 22 with DLSS and DLAA. DLSS increases performance up to 2 times.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has been released with DLSS and shows a performance increase of up to 85%.

Hot Wheels Unleashed has come out with DLSS and is seeing a performance increase of up to 50%.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is out with DLSS and sees a performance increase of up to 60%.

The myth of Empires is coming out on November 18th with ray tracing and DLSS. DLSS increases performance up to 1.5 times.

NVIDIA Image Comparison and Analysis Tool (ICAT): Facilitates Image Quality Analysis

NVIDIA is also releasing a new image quality comparison and analysis tool called ICAT, which makes it faster and easier for anyone to perform A/B image quality comparisons of game screenshots and videos. NVIDIA ICAT allows anyone to easily compare up to 4 screenshots or videos with sliders, side-by-side and pixel surveillance zooms. Users can draw their conclusions by aligning comparisons spatially and temporally and examining the differences. ICAT GeForce.com is available for free download from ‘
