B660 Motherboards with DDR5 Support Have Been Leaked

At least ten new models of B660 motherboards manufactured by MSI are coming to the market soon.

Available for overclocking 12. next-generation desktop processors and Z690 chipsets have been on sale at retailers for some time. Intel’s Alder Lake CPUs are currently only available with expensive Z690 motherboards.

At least ten B660 motherboards from MSI aimed at more mainstream players have appeared along with their prices. For those who are looking for an affordable motherboard for Alder Lake, the Pro B660M-E seems to be a good option with a list price of $ 119. As for the company’s flagship MAG B660 Tomahawk WiFi model, the price rises to $ 259.

According to the source of the leak, all the above motherboards come with DDR5 memory support, and their DDR4 counterparts have not yet manifested themselves. MSI had offered both DDR4 and DDR5 supported motherboards in the Z690 family. For this reason, considering the costs, the likelihood of B660 models with DDR4 support is very high.

Let’s also note that only two of the ten leaked motherboards are standard ATX motherboards, while the rest use the microATX form factor. Intel’s CES 2022 keynote is scheduled for January 4. With the presentations made, we expect to hear more about the B660 chipset, the “non-K” Alder Lake-S desktop processors, and the Alder Lake-P mobile processors. In addition, external Arc Alchemist video cards may be introduced at CES 2022.
