First Trailer for Guy Ritchie’s “The Gentlemen” Series

A teaser trailer for “The Gentlemen“, the Netflix series adaptation of Guy Ritchie‘s 2019 crime comedy of the same name, has been shared.

The story of the series is set in the world of the movie “The Gentlemen”. However, while Matthew McConaughey’s Mickey Pearson plays a role in the overall concept, the movie’s characters are not the protagonists.

The cast of the eight-part series includes Theo James, Ray Winstone, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Giancarlo Esposito, Chanel Cresswell, Michael Vu, Max Beesley, Jasmine Blackborow, Dar Salim, Pearce Quigley and Peter Serafinowicz.

In the series, Eddie Horniman (James) unexpectedly inherits his father’s grand estate, only to discover it is part of a secret cannabis empire. And many unsavory characters from Britain’s criminal underworld want to be part of the operation.

Determined to free his family from their clutches, Eddie tries to beat the gangsters at their own game. But as he is drawn deeper into the criminal underworld, he begins to get a taste for it.

Ritchie, who directed the first two episodes, serves as creator, co-writer, and executive producer. Matthew Read is co-writing and executive producing. “The Gentlemen” is expected to premiere in March.
