Disney and Marvel have released the highly anticipated trailer for the 3rd Deadpool movie starring Ryan Reynolds.
Both Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who returns as Wolverine, will make their Marvel Cinematic Universe debuts in the film, which is officially titled “Deadpool & Wolverine“.
In the dizzying trailer, Wade Wilson takes us back to the multiverse after a visit from the Time Change Authority, last seen in “Loki”, and is given a chance to become a “hero among heroes”, a task apparently only he can accomplish.
After being shown footage of Avengers, the brand face of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Wade declares himself the “Jesus of the Marvel Universe” and takes action, and we know for sure that Deadpool is about to end the Fox & X-Men universe once and for all, with cameos from many of the characters we last saw a decade ago. Where things will lead is anyone’s guess!
Besides Reynolds and Jackman, the movie also stars Morena Baccarin returning as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand returning as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Jennifer Garner returning as Elektra, Leslie Uggams returning as Blind Al, Karan Soni returning as Dopinder. New additions to the cast include Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen.
Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells penned the film, which will officially be Marvel Studios’ first R-rated movie. Shawn Levy is in the director’s chair.
