Google Unveils PaLM 2, the “Most Advanced Language Model to Date”

Google has held the eagerly awaited developer conference I/O. The technology giant, which introduced many new products and services, also gave a big place to artificial intelligence, which is one of the most interesting topics, in October.

PaLM 2 is already powering 25 services

PaLM 2, which will be offered as Gecko, Otter, Bison, and Unicorn from the smallest to the largest, has been announced to be opened for preview. Sundar Pichai adds that the Gecko is light enough to work on mobile devices, it will be fast enough even when offline. With this versatility, it is added that the PaLM 2 will help more people.

PaLM2 powers Google’s ChatGPT rival chatbot Bard and serves as the base model for the company’s artificial intelligence moves. Google has already added the language model to its statements that it is already included in 25 products.

Google says that the most advanced language model is good in subjects such as logic, and mathematics. For example, the model has features such as writing code and correcting errors. Google adds that it has support for more than 20 programming languages, including JavaScript and Python.

Like other major language models that require a lot of time and resources to create, PaLM 2 comes across as a family of products with different versions that will be used in consumer and corporate environments, rather than a single product.
