Michelle Ingrid Williams, American actress. She is best known for her role as Jen Lindley in Dawson’s Creek.

Michelle Williams was born on September 9, 1980, in Kalispell, Montana. Her father, Larry Williams, is a goods merchant, while her mother, Carla Williams, is a housewife.

She was born in Kalispell, Montana to Carla Ingrid and writer-politician Larry Richard Williams. She has a sister named Paige and 3 half-siblings. At the age of 9, he moved from Montana to San Diego, where he became acquainted with television, appearing on a number of television programs. In 1993, she played in an episode of the Coast Guard series. In 1998 came the turning point of his career, Halloween H20: 20 Years later, and more importantly the series Dawson’s Creek. She gained great fame for her character Jen in the series. In 2001, she co-starred with Christina Ricci in the film Prozac Nation, an adaptation of Elizabeth Wurtzel’s novel. The same year, he starred in the film ‘Perfume’ starring Omar Epps and Jeff Goldblum. She lived in Wilmington, North Carolina for a time for the Dawson’s Creek series. She was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for her role as Alma del Mar in the 2005 film Brokeback Mountain. After starring in the 2010 film Shutter Island, she played Marilyn Monroe in My Week with Marilyn in 2011. In 2016, Williams won acclaim for her portrayal of Randi in Kenneth Lonergan’s Manchester by the Sea, and in 2017 she played the lead role in the fabulous Showman and All the Money in the world. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress (Drama) with All The Money in the World.

Williams, who was married to Australian actor Heath Ledger, who died at a young age, from 2004-2007, has a daughter named Matilda Rose Ledger, born in 2005.

Michelle Williams ‘ first wife, Heath Ledger, died of a drug overdose in 2008. In 2018, Michelle Williams married musician Phil Elverum, they divorced in 2019.
