Shailene Diann Woodley, American actress. Woodley became famous for her role as Amy Juergens in The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
She was born in Simi Valley, California in 1991. Woodley’s parents were educators, he was diagnosed with scoliosis (curvature of the spine) at the age of 15 when his parents separated, and had to use back support for a long time. Woodley, who dreamed of studying interior architecture before stepping into the world of cinema, made his way into acting with small roles in TV. In her first major role, in 2003’s The O.C. she appeared in the series as Kaitlin, Marissa Cooper’s brother. After continuing to play in various series and films, Woodley began playing in the series The Secret Life of the American Teenager in 2008. She played in this series for 5 seasons and gave life to the character of Amy Juergens.
Starting in 2013, Woodley focused more on his film career, starring in such films as The Spectacular Now, The Fault In Our Stars. She played the main character, Tris, in the film Divergent, based on the novel by Veronica Roth, which debuted in 2014. During this period, he was again in the lead role in another youth film under the same star.
