Lesley Stevenson, an official at the National Gallery of Scotland, said: “When we first looked at the X-ray scan, of course, we were very excited. This is a great discovery because it adds a new piece to what we know about Van Gogh’s life.” using their statements, he described how exciting the event they were going through was.
