Virgin Galactic unveils ‘VSS imagine’ spacecraft to carry tourists

Virgin Galactic’s newest spacecraft “VSS Imagine” has been officially unveiled. The vehicle, which will begin test flights in the coming months, can climb 110 kilometers from the Earth. Tourists who will ride in this car will be able to experience a special experience in a gravity-free environment, albeit for 6 minutes.

Although not as popular as SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, a space transportation company founded by a billionaire named Richard Branson and doing important work to date, announced a new spacecraft that will carry tourists at an event organized by SpaceX. This vehicle, called” VSS Imagine”, will rise 110 kilometers from the Earth, allowing the earth to be monitored from this altitude.

VSS Imagine, which has a design in the form of a spacecraft with a conventional aircraft, is not ready for use for the moment. Virgin Galactic said in a statement that the vehicle will begin test flights in the coming months. Tourists riding on this spacecraft will be able to watch Earth from 110 kilometers away, as well as stay in a gravity-free environment for 6 minutes.

Virgin Galactic founder Branson also made some statements about this spacecraft. Branson, who said the company’s spaceship fleet is getting a little bigger every day, explained that VSS imagine would best represent that fleet.

It is currently unknown when VSS imagine will become available. But Virgin Galactic, which continues to grow in the sector by taking firm steps, plans to start its first space tourism flights in 2022. The steps were taken by companies such as SpaceX, on the one hand, and Virgin Galactic, on the other, are considered a clear indication that we are now very close to space travel.
