A new clip from the West Side Story remake, directed by Steven Spielberg, starring Ansel Elgort and Rachel Zegler, has been released.
Adapted for cinema by the duo of Jerome Robbins and Robert Wise in 1961, West Side Story, which eventually became a classic with its memorable songs, successful choreography, and story that attracted the audience was re-adapted for cinema by master director Steven Spielberg Dec.
An adaptation of the 1957 Broadway musical of the same name, the film is about the passionate love between Tony, a member of the Jets from two hostile street gangs, and Maria, the sister of the leader of the Sharks Dec.

In addition to Rachel Zegler and Ansel Elgort, the film’s cast includes theatrical-born Ariana DeBose (Anita), Tony Award-winning David Alvarez (Bernando), Josh Andrés Rivera (Chino), Corey Stoll, and Brian D’arcy James. Rita Moreno, who won an Oscar for her role as Anita in the original film, faces the audience with the character of Valentina in the Re-Cycle.
Tony Kushner, who previously worked with Steven Spielberg many times and received Oscar nominations for his films Munich and Lincoln, is writing the script for the Re-Cycle, which combines the story of Romeo and Juliet with the forms of the musical genre. In the clip, Maria Vasquez, played by Rachel Zegler, reminds Tony, played by Elgort, that he is not Puerto Rican, whereupon Tony asks if this is a problem, and the love that began between the duo is revealed.
